I don't bring it up anymore unless someone else does. The one thing I'll never

understand is why do the people in our life that know and are able to understand

our condition still so stupid that when they see us, they always say, " Oh hi,

" How are you? "

Hi Wayne

I believe people are just being polite. It's basically a rhetorical question,

just something

to say. It's part of saying hello.

The nurse usually says " Hi what brings you in today, " or something along those

lines.

I hope it's beautiful in Hawaii today.

All,

If I know the person I try to greet them with " It is so good to see you, what

have you been doing? " That way they can tell me what level physically they are

at.

If I do not know them well only, It is so good to see you again, and then wait

for their response. The medical personnel it is correct for them to say, How

are you today and how have you been doing. I do not like a Nurse saying what

brings you in today as I have already told at least two people what brought me

in today and I am known for saying, " Read my chart please " .

I always read their chart and then asked " It says you are coming in for

(whatever I was coming in for) and then we went from there but they or the

Doctor should read the chart and I have always respected a Doctor that says, I

read that you have had whatever I told them I was coming in for rather than him

asking me without reading my chart or tests before talking to me. Bennie
