Oh dear. Your fall sounds like something off a cartoon. I am so sorry. It

does sound like you definitely need to get your tailbone checked out

tomorrow. Just to be on the safe side. Are you sitting on pillows? That

might help. Broke my tailbone falling down steps years ago. It does hurt!

Good news about your CPK being down. I think yours is the highest I have

ever heard of. 50,000 CPK, wow. Hang in there kiddo and call your Dr. in

the morning. Let us know how it goes. It sounds like your boyfriend keeps

you laughing!

Hugs,

Cari

Aw darn, ! Between the two of us, we'll keep 'em

laughing...a few weeks ago, I closely resembled Worf's

sister...in fact, my bruises are still fading!

50,000 - good grief you're really going for a

record!!

So that 936 is pretty darned good!

Please please go to the doc if the back is still the

same, ok?? Don't monkey around with your back. Now,

who sounds like a mother hen...I just want you feeling

a whole lot better!

Let BF pamper you a bit, too!

... what great news about your CPK levels. I hope it still

continues to decline. Is the Campath suppose to make new T-cells in

you? Not sure if I completely understand how it's suppose to work.

Take care,

cari.....my fall does sound like something off a cartoon doesn't it? because while i was sitting at the bottom of the stairs, i had my head down crying and my boyfriend came running over laughing because he thought i was laughing and it wasn't until i looked up at him saying "no seriously it hurts a lot" he helped me up apologizing. i called my rheumy clinic today, but my doctor was seeing patients so i spoke to the nurse instead and she said i probably just bruised it. i'm not sure though just cause i don't know how easily my bones would break...especially with my bodyweight just coming down on my butt like that. i am sitting on pillows but its not helping much because sitting alone hurts. when you broke your tailbone...how badly did it hurt? and what types of things made it hurt even more? [for me sitting...getting up...anything that requires the use of muscles around the area]. as for my cpk..i'm so excited that its come down!! my strength is horrible though hehe. back when it was 50,000 though...i couldnt do anything...i was in a wheelchair because i couldn't walk and my mom had to feed me. that was a long time ago though but still..just the thought of the numbers is a bit frightening....i hope you're doing okay! i'll call my doctor again in the morning. and yes..my boyfriend does keep me laughing..but thats not necessarily a good thing because it hurts my bottom when i laugh now! [the whole boddy chuckling thing errr very painful!]

Good for him, !!! He better pamper ya, or

else...!!!

I know when I've hurt my back about the only thing to

do is curl up into a position that is least of all

painful and just rest until the old body can fix...I

also discovered taking a dropperful of white willow

bark helps my lower back pain a lot! (I have

degenerative arthritis in my spine and a bulging disc,

but according to my doc, most folks probably do!!) I

don't know...if you aren't better tomorrow, methinks

it's time to have BF carry you to the doc!

Gentle hugs,

Lynn

Hi ... Oh Ouch...!!!! Make sure your doctor knows about your fall

and get it checked out... I hope it's only a bruise. I can imagine how

much it hurts when you try to do anything. Take care and let us know

what he says.

I am sorry that your tailbone is still causing you so much pain. I would

absolutely call back and insist on an X-ray. Tailbones fractures are hard

to dx even with an x-ray sometimes. I remember mine hurting really badly

for a few days and then slowly somewhat better everyday. Pillows did help

though. I can't believe the nurse would try and dx you over the phone. She

shouldn't of done that. Give them a call back and insist on talking to the

Dr. I think it is worth getting it looked at. Let us know how you are

doing today.

Cari

Your boyfriend sounds like one in a million. He sounds like great guy. It

is wonderful you have him to depend on but I think he is a lucky guy to have

you to. From your correspondence, I think you are pretty amazing!

cari...by any chance did you have a visibile bruise when you broke your tailbone? and was it a sore/aching very badly bruised type of pain? because thats how mine feels and it's really bothering me because i can't really lie on my back or my sides without it bothering me. how long was it before your pain slowly got better? i tried calling my doctor again this morning but she was with patients so i left a message and still no call back...hopefully tomorrow i'll get to speak with her...

lots of hugs and smiles,

Hi ,

No, there was no visible bruising. I think I missed only two days of work

and I was sore for a couple of weeks but each day was better then the one

before. I remember it was difficult to ever find a comfortable position. I

was on pain medication the first few days after that just Advil. If you are

still having such pain, it definitely needs to be looked at. I would call

your Dr.'s office every 5 minutes until you get to talk to the Dr. Make

sure the Dr. knows you called a few days ago and a nurse dx you over the

phone. I believe the nurse should not have done that.

Let me know how you are doing. Be persistent!

Hugs,

cari

I broke my tailbone when I was pregnant with my first child. I did not have a visible bruise, but it hurt terribly. I had to use a doughnut to sit on for several months until it healed. I think I also bruised it very badly when I fell.

That reminded me, . I broke my tailbone years ago when I fell down the

stairs and landed on my rump, but I also broke my tailbone giving birth to

our second daughter (Guess I'd blocked that one out LOL!). I was sore for a

long time after that and sat on a donut. Was nursing so I didn't take

anything strong for it. I was sore for quite awhile. But, would of been

sore anyway after childbirth, know what I mean? Sitting on pillows and such

and staying off your feet is pretty much the only thing you can do for it.

Hugs,

Cari

, I chipped my tailbone once and they can't really do a thing for it. THey gave me pain killers and told me to stay off it for awhile. It's really a funny story! I was working at Home Depot and I went to try and move a ladder. It was only a 4 step, tilt and roll kind. I went to tip it back to roll it and it didn't stop, came right over on top of me. Well, I landed very hard on their hard cement floor with this ladder on top of me. I had also knocked the wind out of me. I scared the bejeezies out of this sweet old lady that worked with me. She thought I hit my head and started screaming. I was just dazed from the pain. It was excruciating. Anyway, I finally got up and hobbled to the managers office to fill out an accident report-as is customary. It is also customary to go have a drug test but they never did send me for one. I don't know why. That's ok, hate peeing in a cup with someone watching! But, this manager calls in another girl that worked there-she was a friend of mine. He told her to go in the bathroom with me and look at my butt to make sure it wasn't cut or bleeding. I said 'no way am I dropping my pants for a female employee-or any other employee for that matter!' He couldn't figure out why that was unacceptable. AMAZING!!! Needless to say, I went home and spent a couple of days on my stomach. Can you imagine? He wanted her to do that but never asked me if I wanted to go to the doctor-which I did anyway. It was about 5 years ago so I can laugh about it now but, ARGGGGH!

zanna......that boss obviously doesnt have any common sense...first of all i don't think anyone likes having another person look at theit butt! second..not very nice of him to ask you to go to the doctor.....third...that was kinda nice that he didnt ask you to take a drug test...maybe that just means he doesnt think you're the type to do it? but either way...OUCH!!!!! that must have hurt soo much....hard cement floor....i cant imagine how that would feel.....i got carpeted stairs...but i did skid down them hehe.....but if i had been in your situation and had a ladder fall on me and land on the floor myself..i'm sure my head would have been cracked open because i have no abdominal strength whatsoever and i can't even lift my head up when i'm lying down....but anyway..i'm sorry that happened to you!...what did your boss ever do about it?

He was a jerk anyway. He actually got fired for sexual harassment. Big surprise, huh? They didn't do anything for it really, just didn't give me a hard time when I called in sick. This was actually like in 95 so more like 6 years ago. I was still feeling pretty good then. I wasn't dx until 3 years ago. I remember I was tired all the time but I was still riding my bike back and forth to work every day and still in pretty good shape. Wish I could say that now!!!!!!!

Hope your tushy feels better!!!!!!!!
