Wow, Barb, sounds like you have identified a possible trigger. I've noticed

the same thing with tomatoes - cooked tomatoes, that is. I too can eat raw

ones without any problem. I've always summed it up to the old salicylates.

Perhaps not?

from what i am understanding cu is usually some type of food allergy , we

have done

or at least tried food elimination with my son,, Who knows

Most cases of CU are idiopathic....they have no known cause. My specialist says

it's rare for CU to be caused by allergies, especially when it's long term.

I'm glad you're able to identify one of the " culprits' for triggering your

symptoms Barb! This can be so mystifying.

Dear Annette

Actually, it's the opposite. Acute urticaria (lasting for a few days) is

often due to food allergies, or other allergies - but the chronic kind is

usually absolutely nothing whatsoever to do with what you are ingesting. In

my humble opinion, it is not worth putting your little son through food

elimination diets. Hugs, Carol
