Guest guest
I take various pain meds but I have other issues in addition to Fibromyalgia. I got the results of my MRI 3 days ago and have 2 new herniated discs plus worsening spinal stenosis, so it must be moderate to severe now. I suffer with severe Migraines also. I take amytriptiline, Vicodin, and ultram XR 300 mg. I have been taking the Vicodin since May when the pain suddenly worsened considerably and nothing I was taking even touched the pain. When I am having a good day or good part of a day I barely have pain so I guess the pain meds are working. The problem is that I don't have that many good days and have seen the pain gradually worsen over the past 10 years in terms of severity and disability. I used to be able to get back to a lesser level of pain and have some recovery time when I could actually reduce the pain meds which I don't have anymore. I did think that the spinal issues were stable which I see I was wrong about. The previous MRI from 3 yrs ago had remained relatively the same compared with the one I took in 2002 but now is worsened. I see I will need some more MRI's as the worsening of the Lumbar spine could signal worsening in the thoracic and cervical areas, where the pain is present and I didn't have MRI's done. It is like a domino effect when I have pain too often. I have severe leg pain which spreads to back pain and then the back pain seems to trigger a Migraine. The reverse also happens where the Migraine is severe and the Imitrex Nasal spray doesn't work and that continuous pain seems to trigger pain elsewhere in my body. a
