Guest guest
Hi everyone, I have been reading some posts and a few caught my eye. My daughter has been diagnosed BPD and I was reading about dots child twisting the truth at school. At first we thought it was twisting things to and we always got the blame. I just finished NAMI'S family to family and it was very helpful for me to learn its not twisting or even against us its delusional thinking she does not want to say these things they just come out. Now she is 18 and thank god we are out of the system the harrasment by the schools or therepists, so on and so on. Finding help for this brain disorder is very difficult with out money but I can keep her on her meds. For anyone that needs to know what she is taking is lithium, abilify and buspar which does nothing for her anxity most of the self abuse has stopped but not all together but she does what she is told she still acts like a two year old the whining and crying but I have learned just to ignore that and just get it done I tell her. My husband has also not accepated that our daughter may never be able to leave our home we still fight about it all the time we have been married 20 years and I hope it can with hold this storm. I love my daughter with all my heart she is very quite and shows no violence towrad others only to her self and that is was scares me the most. I have friends in my Nami group that there childern have never recovered from what ever ales them and their chidren are still excisting at home and some have ended it all and thats the eand of the road I never want to come to. bless you all bobbie
