Guest guest
Hi all, Just wanted to give you quick update, Surgery went okish they overheated me, which caused my temp to go up and up and up. It took a long time to return to a steady temp which took 5 hours after operation and no one told my family what was happening or going on. So, they assumed the worst had happened. Then had a phone call to go to theatres. They meant Recovery room and my mum said what on earth have you done to my daughter? She looks awful. Surgeon had a face like thunder. He was furious at what happened as he went looking for me and thought I had done my famous I am in a mood I am hiding thing, but I did not They took a good 10-15 minutes to get me off to sleep in the pre-anaesthesia room as they could not find a vein. I started crying, so they ended up giving me the gas, which apparently I had a fight with them cannot remember that bit. Other then that, he thinks that the surgery went well but about 50% unsure whether it will work but keeping fingers crossed. As for the good news I have started a job as the head air hostess at my local airport and I am with Fly Cymru which means Fly Wales where I live. It's a small airline. We have 3 boeing 474's and 12 propeller planes - this is how small our company is. We only have one air hostess on each flight as the co-captain will help when needed, but so far so good. Not needed it. Unfortunately I started flying this time last week and already on sick leave. Well sort off. I am on light duties such as check in and I have flown 2 major flights so far. One to Scotland and Paris. It's lovely having a plane to yourself on the return journey, as we cannot stay over we have to fly back. I have flown two major flights and had a Emergency Landing on the last one. We had to evacuate the plane via shoots. No one was injured, but shocked and upset. We had a major fuel leak so bad you could smell it and also see it coming out of the engine. Being the only Air hostess that's a nightmare, but we landed roughly fair service met us at runway and we all survived. Pilot had a head injury, as the plane hit the ground so hard it sort of pushed us forward then back. So sorry - this was suppose to be a short update. Hope everyone is ok??
