Zanna,

wants a dog so badly too. I was trying to explain his dad's allergies

and he suggested that Daddy sleep outside. LOL Jeff didn't go for that!

Hugs,

Cari

Hi Cari....

You said: ***No one holds him accountable for his actions or makes him

face responsibility for anything he does. That's why he is going out of

his way to be in so much trouble. Trying to get his parents

attention.***

Boy, you hit that right on the head. The kid that lives next door to

me is the same way... His parents ALWAYS side with him and think he's

being railroaded. He was a bad teen and now is a bad adult. Then they

wonder why!!!!

Hope you're having a good day.

Take care,

Vicki

Zanna... I see we like the same dogs. I really miss my Chihuahua. Sue

on the list I believe has 5 of them. They are great dogs...but I really

recommend the breed rescue if you want one. Also, these gals that do

this can locate any other Chi that is more adapted to kids. The pic's

are sooo cute though. I had another one with more puppies listed .....

Cari.... BLISTERS????? Wow, I've heard of people allergic to dogs and

cats but isn't he taking it a bit far....???? LOL My gosh, maybe he's

allergic to the shampoo that they use ON the dog. I have never seen

anyone do that. I really feel for him. There are larger dogs that have

a different type of fur. I'll have to do some research. I don't

recommend a pet store animal as the U.S. is trying to stop all pet

stores from selling them. They receive the puppies from puppy mills

across the country and these animals are raised in the most inhumane

way not to mention that brothers are bred to sisters quite often. Makes

for an unsound dog as it grows up. I suggest going to a breed rescue

or a licensed breeder.

Zanna,

I told Shelby about Kylie and how you and I have come to be corresponding.

Shelby was excited to possible have an e-mail pal. I saw a little bit of

what Shelby was writing to Kylie. Shelby did talk about her experience with

sexual harrassment last year. Shelby said it would be so nice to have

someone " who had been there " to talk to. I hope Kylie doesn't mind talking

about it. Shelby's e-mail starts with harrypotter so you can tell Kylie

what e-mail to look for.

Hugs,

Cari

Vicki,

I've heard that about pet stores too. Jeff can't even walk in one as his

allergies immediately start acting up. We would never be able to tell if

Jeff was reacting to one particular dog, or all of them. We have a great

humane society here that have puppy fairs and feline extravagaanzas. We

would probably go that route once we find a breed that Jeff can co-exist

with. I think kids should grow up with a dog.

Hugs,

Cari

After reading the site that Vicki forwarded, I don't think there will be a

dog that Jeff won't be allergic to. Guess we'll have to pitch him a tent in

the backyard! LOL!

I enjoyed the Chihuahua links. I love my 5 babies. One is at the vet right now getting spayed. She is a long haired that we rescued. Jack and I got two that had been rescued and just love them both. One is still a little nervous, but thats to be expected. We can only surmise what they may have experienced before we got them. Sue

Yeah, it is stressful. On top of it, I haven't told my husband because he stresses worse than me and I was trying to protect him. I have been borrowing the money from savings to make up for the lost income every month. I did send it on Wednesday by certified mail. I even found the envelope they returned my stuff to me in August in and sent it back just as proof that they messed up. I also made copies of everything. I hope someone inputs it into the computer this time. I am calling as soon as I get my notice back in the mail that they received it. I would like to go down there myself and knock some sense into some of them. Better yet, tell him to move over and I will input it myself!!!! Anyways, go figure. I should say I am not suprised but I was approved on the first time after only 4 weeks so I thought it would be easy. also, they sent me a letter stating that 'their professionals expect my condition to improve so they will re-evaluate my case in January'. 'Their professionals'! What a joke. Some of our own doctors aren't even sure of what is going on. My doctor told me though, that if I have any problems, let him know, he will help me stay on SSD. He is a gem.

Kylie doesnt' mind talking about it. I am sure she will love to correspond with her. She has never read any of the harry potter books but they have other things in common so I am sure they will hit it off. Kylie is going to Knott's berry farm tomorrow for a friends birthday. She is very excited about it.

Take care,

Zanna

We had a chi when I was a kid. He was larger too. His name was pedro. He came to us when I was only 1. When I was about 8 he was missing and my neighbor found him down the street. He had been killed very brutally. We think he had been hit by a snow plow. He was nearly decapitated. My dad wouldn't let us kids see him. I am grateful for that. I really loved that dog! I have wanted another one since.

I can't wait to get one!

Good Morning Everyone!

Hi Zanna.... boy, I completely understand about the working and SSD. I

once asked if I could do something at home and they were so excited that

I would want to do that. But, soon found out that I can only make $500.

per month and then THAT's deducted from my SSI. So why bother!!!!

The point was to make more money to live more comfortable, like pay for

my meds. Guess they don't get that part. Now I understand that I

won't be able to do too much until I turn 62... like travel and stay out

of the country for any length of time.... like months!!!

As for the dog, my favorite Chihuahua is the larger one. My girl

weighed about 11 lbs... that's a good size for me since my dogs run the

property. Too small, I wouldn't be able to find the dog and the birds

of prey would pick it up for a meal.

I've heard the same thing about Chi's, that they aren't REAL dogs....

but, I don't know of any one that has owned one that didn't fall in love

with there personality. They are such brave dogs who don't know there

own size. I use to have my Chi's with my St. Bernards and she ran

them all over. Those St's didn't make a move unless the Chi went first.

It was a crack up. I've always owned big dogs like Mastiff's, St's, and

Bullmastiffs.... but my little dogs always ran the roost.

Hope you and Kylie are having a good day Take care,

Vicki
