Depression,isolation,and surrounding yourself with positive people

I struggle with depression and isolation from pain. I am more fortunate than

others in the sense that I can drive limited distances on most days. I am not

able to volunteer. One of the things those of us with depression are supposed

to do is surround ourselves with positive people. Does anyone have luck doing

this? I have NO supportive family or friends.
