Guest guest
" I have asthma and was allergy tested back in 2000,,, those nice little scratches for testing they use showed what foods and other things like trees and grasses and such that I'm allergic to. It showed the normal foods like wheat I forget what else as far as foods go,, but then there were like 5 grasses, 5 trees, oh and let's not forget dust,,,, " Rewa Welch <rewa@...: " have you ever had the environmental/food allergy test. I would always get really, really bad flares in Sept.... Turns out I am extremely allergic to Ragweed. Any kind of allergy can tear down your immune system... and then the Fibro has free range of your body. " Hello, I have a myriad of musco skeletal impairments, orthopedic afflictions. I have neither Fibromyalgia nor Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. I am going to relate the results of both arms & back allergen introduction tests I experienced in 1990 s. I was sent to the top allergy Dr in my city for a test. The areas on my back lit up the Dr began reciting a list of materials/ substances I was allergic to an assistant who was writing away. My inside forearms itched like mad.I left the office with med samples to take for weeks. My hospital gave me a prescription of different kind along with inhaler. I began skimping on taking prescription and did not suffer ill effects. In the spring of the year, 1 or 2 years later the hospital sent me to the same allergy center, who again ran tests on both arms and my back. I am allergic to grass pollen and some other pollens. My back didn't light up as previous, both arms did'nt itch this time. OK to cut to the chase 2 days prior to the 1st bad allergy test, I looking for employment and needing money had sold my plasma at a center. In my opinion, my taking a allergy test while my immune system was weakened made the 1st test a positive for everything under the sun. Yes, I don't take allergy meds, do sniffle because of grass, get red eyes when I use certain chemicals for cleaning/degreasing.But I am not the allergic basketcase pronounced in the first testing session. Guest guest
Hi Gimpi,,, just wanted to let you know I love driving by someone who is either currently cutting there grass or has just freshly cut it, the smell of cut grass drives me nuts from sneezing, to itchy watery eyes scratchy throat all in an instant of passing by this. It goes away shortly afterward, but like I said I would have to live in a bubble to get away from allergies.. I don't take allergy meds anymore since june 2004, I just deal with the allergies. One thing I'm not looking forward to is winter, cold temps, ice and snow. My allergies are not bad in the winter of course everything is dead due to the cold. But what I am highly suseptable to is the wonderful upper and lower respiratory infections due to the cold.... I can't wait to move back to Florida.... And am going further south this time, Marathon..... I'd rather deal with hurricanes than deal with winter.... Thanks for the response, Debbie (finessit1) neve1776 wrote: "I have asthma and was allergy tested back in 2000,,,those nice little scratches for testing they use showed what foods and other things like trees and grasses and such that I'm allergic to.
