Guest guest
I used to work in pain management, and I never saw a pain pump used for RSD. We did use a lot of implantable spinal stimulators. There is no medication in a stimulator, but when it is placed in the correct spot, it offers a massaging stim to the extremity affected by RSD. Many of our patients received relief from this. Best wishes >Carol wrote: I'm very interested in learning more about the pain pump implant to help with the chronic pain associated with RSD. Could you please tell me more about how this works. I had a pain pump after my last foot surgery that was awesome in helping to control the post-surgery pain along with my usual RSD medications (Percocet and Gabapentin). Is this pain pump you're talking about basically the same thing? The pain pump only lasted 4 days to get me through the worst of the post-surgical pain.
