Guest guest
Hi everyone, I know I threatened/promised to stay silent today but I have to share this with you. I have just made the first two quiche cases. You know how pastry shrinks in the oven and you always have to have it a bit bigger before you cook it? And you know how when it comes out of the oven some of the extra bits are all crispy and brown and crying out to be eaten when you have trimmed them off? Still with me? W-E-E-E-E-E-L...... I cut them off and pat them under the tap straight away so they would be too soggy to eat. It took all my courage to do it BUT I DID IT!! They are still sitting in the kitchen because it's hailing at the moment and I don't want to go out to the bin but at least I know that I won't be eating them. Boast, boast. Of course I know that 'self praise is no praise' but I had to tell someone who would understand. There's no point ringing up a skinny minnie friend and telling her. That is such normal behaviour for most people that they wouldn't understand. Just one more time - boast, boast, brag, brag.. Back to the kitchen now, Cheers, Marie
