Carolyn,

I want my " money " back and buy this one. I could get one for my husband and we

could line them up and hold hands. This is exactly what I talking about and I

was so envious when she put hers away. If mine goes out, this the the option I

am going. It will keep my 23 yr old son and his friends out of it also. I

thought this hot tub would make my back pain go away, this was the beginning of

my " pain journey " . Boy, was that long ago so I guess I got my monies worth.

I want information on how to get one of those Spas! All I am finding is

inflatable, and that will NOT work for me. It will have to be outside, next to

the back door..

Marta,

I don't know if hers was inflatable but I think it was more of a hardened

plastic and all I found was the inflatable also. In looking Walmart had some

nice acrylic ones and at good prices. Check them out.

They are not three hundred but some of the inflatables are seven hundred and at

that price some of the nice ones are in the 1=2 thousand dollar ranges and would

last a long time.

If I find out about one, I will post.

Google " portable " hot tub or " Smartub " , that's the name of the one I got. They

are vinyl on the outside but the frame is fiberglass so they are solid. There

are also some similar versions that are cheaper, around $1,000 new that are hard

sided.

I wouldn't want the inflatable either. Too easy to fall on it. Mine is low

enough that it's easy to step over the side but the side is solid so I can brace

myself on it as I go over.

Spa in a Box has stiff sides and can be found for as cheap as $800 new at

Overstock.com.

If you are looking for portable, make sure it's 110 volt and not 220. Then you

don't need special wiring or an oven or dryer outlet to plug it into.

You can get them a little bigger than mine that are still the same portability.

My brother has one that nicely fits two big people but looks almost exactly like

mine, just more volume.

How much does a regular 4 person, permanent tub cost? I'm in Ohio. Where is a

good place to buy?

Good Hot tubs run from $1,000 to $5,000 new. I got mine on Craigslist for $350.

It's a 2,000 tub new. The Spa in a Box we've been talking about runs from about

700 to 1,000 online and looks like a pretty good deal.

There are plumbing and wiring issues with the more expensive ones, that I didn't

want to get into. Some of them advertise plug and play, meaning they are just

plugged in, filled with a hose and off you go.

You clean a hot tub about once a month or so, depending on the useage. Not every

time. They have a heater and a pump and you add chemicals to keep the water

clean in between emptyings.
