Guest guest
Hi Group! Just had my first whole body scan. They didn't tell me much about it today. I got to see some pictures of my thyroid and the technician said he didn't see anything outside the thyroid but someone would have to read the scan to know for sure. Who is that someone? Is it the Nuclear Med doc, the endo or someone elce yet? What's the norm and how long does it take? I leave to visit my daughter on Saturday. Do you think I can get some answers tomorrow? YES, I am a pest. They should know this by now. Guest guest
Hi, Lynn - When I had my scan, it was read immediately by the nuc med doc. but I know others have reported having the endo do it, and also waiting for several days to get the results. I suspect it just depends on the hospital.
