urticaria

Hi everyone. I've never spoke up before, but I wanted to let you know how much this list helps me through the day. I like to read about your experiences and relate them to mine. My urticaria defies any explanation. Heat, cold, contact, pressure, stress, anything can set it off. I've been hiving since I was 13 years old and I'm 47 years old now. What helps me on one day, doesn't on another. I've tried all the meds and some help, some doesn't. Anyway, I've been in the hospital for a couple of days for chest pain. Nothing wrong with my heart, but some kind of inflammation (wonder where that came from?) in my chest, ribs, sternum or something. The drs. sent me home with a diagnosis of costochondritis. While I was in the hospital, they were taking my blood pressure at least once an hour. Well, where the blood pressure cuff was around my arm broke out in one great big hive all around my arm. When my daughter came in, she rubbed it with Vaseline Intensive Care Lotion for Dry Skin. And surprise! It actually relieved some of the heat and swelling and itch. What I want to know is has anyone else ever noticed this, or was it just luck that day?

Hi my name is Barry

I have had chronic idiopathic urticaria for 9mo

perfectly healthy prior

i have had a root canal 5 yrs ago

with a crown that didnt fit right and had my gums inflamed

I am now getting that crown replaced and the dentist said he was worried

about my gums and that old crown was fitted inproperly

could this cause any thing?

what should i ask him when i go in for my permanent crown?

also how long would it take if i had a little infection in there or

inflammation for the hives to go away if it was related to that?

thanks alot

barry :))))
