A marriage of T4 and Armour !

Yes I am aware of that. What actually puzzled me though is that I started

taking Armour Thyroid BECAUSE I have a conversion problem and cannot convert the

synthetic T4 into the necessary T3. What I cannot understand now, is why the

synthetic is converting now ------ if you know what I mean!!!

Hi, Sheila,

Sure! I understand what you mean. My guess, and it is just that,

is that having the natural form of T4 and T3 has " awakened " your Thyroid

gland's ability to do some converting on its own. I am serious. You see,

unless the gland was " killed " with radiation, there will always be some

possibility for its function to increase. It may never recover enough to

do everything on its own, but if the Thyroid gland is getting what it needs

to do its job, then perhaps it is saying something like, " Hooray! Here is

the stuff I need to work! Now I am going to get busy! " .

Continue as you have been doing, but watch out for symptoms of

going toward the hyper side of things. If you notice that happening, then

you may need to cut the T4 to every other day.

I am not a doctor or any other kind of expert, but my own

experience with this shows that the test results can mean absolutely

nothing in light of symptoms that disappear with different levels or types

of treatments. If that is the case, then it stands to reason that the body

can do many things that are unexpected. The doctors do not know it

all. In fact, most of them know less about this than you and I do now.
