My last cortisol tests showed my levels were all elevated..and I have

been trying to address that...however, a few symptoms I cant determine

if its that i need more Armour or if its adrenals, or or something

else? (I am at 3.5 grains)

1)warm all the time ( for years, I was freezing)

2) dry eyes, dry skin

3) for the last week---bloating, indigestion, a little nausea (never

had it before)

4)little bumps or pimples over my face

5) continued hair loss

6) can get panicky in a stressful situation very easy. still some palps

7) brain fog coming back.

Any comments are apprecciated!

Hi Jill.

Did you have any of your sex hormones -estrogen,

progesterone, testerone - tested at the same time?

If not, you will need to do this too to get a full

picture.

For instance, acne can be caused by low thyroid, but

also by excess estrogen or excess testerone. Being

warm all the time can be caused by too much thyroid or

too low levels of estrogen. Loss of hair by low

thyroid or low levels or decreasing levels of

progesterone. Brain fog can be influenced by thyroid

and, again, imbalances in estrogen and progesterone.

The bloating can occur due to hormones - estrogen and

excess progesterone. But that can also be caused by

developing food allergies. In fact, bloating and

nausea occur frequently when our bodies have

difficulty digesting certain foods. Sometimes, its

food that is eaten at the time of another food (like

apples following cabbage or saurkraut) or foods we are

developing new problems with. My husband can eat

peanut butter with no problem and drink milk with no

problem, but if he consumes both in the same setting,

he immediately develops digestion issues. My mother

discovered that chocolate and white bread give her

blinding headaches.

As we age, certain foods we have eaten all our lives

with no difficulty may suddenly cause digestive

problems. Last year, I developed sensitivities to

corn, pepper, ginger, cinnamon, and chili powder, all

at the same time. I have eaten them all my life and

never had an issue. I also discovered bloating was a

problem, for me, after eating no sugar added ice

cream. I can get away with a few spoonfuls, but 1/2

cup does me in. As a result of these changes, carpal

tunnel pain, arthritic pain (I'm age 41) and intense

burning/prickly pain in my forearms, hands, and

fingers completely vanished.

Food plays a direct role with other health conditions

including: asthma; skin problems on the neck, upper

chest, arms, hands, and fingers; arthritic pain; body

aches including the back and knees; the ease with

breathing; headaches; and digestion. Caffeine can

create heart palpitations and temporary vision

disturbances when consumed in large amounts daily over

time.

Many of these conditions have causes other than food,

but you would be shocked how many are corrected in

some people by making a few dietary changes.

Keep a food diary for a short time and see if you can

observe a pattern with the digestion and bloating (or

the exacerbating of certain conditions) and consuming

certain foods. Problems caused by food can show

themselves as early as 15 minutes after consuming them

or sometimes a day later.

I didn't mean to become so long-winded. Just look at

the whole picture - many different imbalances can

cause the same or similar conditions. Different

hormones mimic other conditions observed with low

thyroid and adrenal.

Wow Holly..thanks for all of this insight. I think the

nausea/bloating might be connected to a food allergy or sensitivity.

I did do a food blood test and know what i need to stay away from but

maybe there is a new one, like you mentioned.

My Estradiol is High, My Progesterone is High, My Andro and DHT are

high! So hence, I am trying to back off somethings and figure this

all out. Hence the word..BALANCE my hormones.

Again, thanks for sharing your thoughts. I appreciate it.
