Okay, Here is the poem inspired by Caren's " Looking Back "

Jane

Lifetimes

5-23-01

1:12 " Blessed is the man who perseveres under trial, because when he

has stood the test, he will receive the crown of life that God has promised

to those who love him. " (NIV)

Looking back seems long ago

We could run & jump, going to & fro

A different life we surely lived

Energy abound, so much to give.

Bells rang out, that we could hear

Sweet music playing to our ear

Now the tunes play in our heart

Our world is silent, without a bark.

Another lifetime has come to be

A slower pace, with challenges you see

With pain and loss, all around

There's something new to be found.

A strength from within that gives us life

Prayers, hopes and friends to handle strife

A stronger person we are today

Because of life's changes that came our way.

We see the world from a different view

Life seems more real, have you felt this too?

We are humbled with our ills today

But we are blessed in so many special ways.

Each breath we take we come to know

How God and friends, they love us so

We feel others' sorrow and wipe the tears

We remain together through all our fears.

In every loss there is also gain

We keep on going right through the rain

Our perseverance builds up each day

And we speak the truth in what we say.

I feel truly blessed in all I do

In spite of losses from NF-two

We can rise above the physical loss

Remember, God gave us His Son at a much higher cost!

Psalm 105:4 " Look to the Lord and his strength; seek his face always. " (NIV)
