Yes it is! My jaw has been causing me severe facial

pain/headaches and swelling. My lymph nodes and area

of where the joint is by my ear are swollen.. is this

what you have?

Yes, the popping is annoying and painful, I see my Rheumo dr on Tuesday going to discuss it with him and ways to keep it under control, be glad to share what he says with you wrote:

I have a prescribed splint for severe TMJ and my experience is that

it is one of the best helps I have gotten in years. It has decreased

headaches tremendously and alleviates back and other pain.

Bit down hard on something, a folded over straw for example, and keep

biting for, say, 10 minutes, and notice where the pain flares. This

kind of demonstrates the effect TMJ is having.

As for cost, that is a problem that continues to interfere with

treatments of all kinds. Maybe a church group could help?
