Guest guest
I have a prescribed splint for severe TMJ and my experience is that it is one of the best helps I have gotten in years. It has decreased headaches tremendously and alleviates back and other pain. Bit down hard on something, a folded over straw for example, and keep biting for, say, 10 minutes, and notice where the pain flares. This kind of demonstrates the effect TMJ is having. As for cost, that is a problem that continues to interfere with treatments of all kinds. Maybe a church group could help? I have just recently been diagnosed with Fibro (ICKY), > pending negative results for Multiple Sclerosis.. > (YIPPEE!!!). > > My worst problem and pain, my jaw.. after struggling > with facial pain, drueling, (yes drueling)headaches > and ear and balance problems, My dentist took one look > at my jaw, took some xrays, and proceeded to tell me > that my jaw has been so grinded that the bottom have > has shifted out of socket.. has anyone had this > problem? > > I am facing a very expensive recovery, and follow up > appts.
