Guest guest
No surgery schedule. X-ray and CTt showed calcifications in the bowel and impaction. I'm living on stool softener and Miralax and passing stinky water. Massive leakage. The doctor thinks that I also have rectal prolapse. Very frustrating. Have IBS, too. Guest guest
Gosh that is so terrible. I do not know much about calcifications but I do know what IBS is like. Have you been taking any opioid pain medications for pain before all this started? Do you take laxative? I take a stool softner and laxative to keep my bowel moving. Tried the Miralax and all that did was fill me up with goopy poo. I actually gained 8 pounds in 4 days. It may have made my stool soft but it did not do a darn thing to help my colon move it out. I also began to have swelling in my legs and hands and additional pain because of it. Doctors think Miralax is something special but it is nothing but glorified plastic that draws water and swells so once it is in your intestines all mixed up in the small intestine your poo cannot harden. I would be demanding something be done. You deserve to get this resolved before a bowel ruptures or you have damage to the bowel that your body can't repair. Get another gastroenterologist's opinion if the one you have is not helping you. If you have insurance, call and speak to one of the nurses or case managers to let them know what is going on.
