You slay me, girl! At least you finally have a "name"....of course we'll always know you as sweet :-) Now it's time to dig through the fibromyalgia info...are you ready?

As you're probably aware, some doctors are thinking that fibro is also caused by an infection, probably mycoplasma. Have a look at Dr. Nicolson's site again at http://www.immed.org specifically, http://www.immed.org/illness/fatigue_illness_research.html He has some specific articles on fibro, in conjunction with his research on it and other rheumatic illnesses.

Also, Dr. Franco addresses it as well at http://www.thearthritiscenter.com specifically, http://www.thearthritiscenter.com/arthritis_info.htm#Anchor-Fibromyalgia-35326 and in fact, there's a good article in the latest Road Back Foundation's newsletter....I'd be happy to send you a copy (but I lost your address....if you like, please post your address again privately.) Also, Dr. Franco has noticed that fibromyalgia can accompany other rheumatic diseases......like it did in my case. The good thing is.....with his help and the supplements and antibiotics, these past three years have made a huge difference for me.

In addition, Vicki posted a fibro site a few weeks ago. I looked it up and found that the doctor promotes basically the same thing as Dr. Franco.....he addresses the need for specific supplements as well as antibiotics. I'm crossing my fingers that your doctor is aware and open to these treatments......at least he recognizes that fibromyalgia is "real" and unfortunately, there are still too many doctors who think it's all in our heads :-( I'm so happy you hung in there......it was a long road to finally get your diagnosis, but now you can begin to get better!!!
