Guest guest
I started out with severe back and neck pain, if I tried moving my head around (or any part of my trunk), it would pull all the muscles down my back - especially in my deltoids. But over the years, my pain has improved - the Mobicox when I started it changed all this, and gave me a real range of motion. I remember pulling back muscles trying to open my flip-top meds in the morning, but that does not happen anymore. I am definitely noticing more tiredness and pain in my muscles with winter starting outside though. I have also been reading these emails in the morning and that does not agree with the pain either. Charlie horses suck. I have not thought about it in a long time, but I never get those anymore. What I DO enjoy - now that I can do it - is one big yawn stretch. That used to cause so many pulled muscles! I started off slowly a few years ago, after I realized I literally did not stretch anymore and had not for years. So I get the lovely " aaaaah " feeling while doing it, if I am careful. I also have problems looking down. If I am at my doctor's and bring a book, I am careful to bring a book bag to put on my lap to balance the book on, and even then it hurts my neck and stiffens up my shoulders. In bed, I put a big pillow on my lap with the book so it is easier. Peace, Jen. > Jennette wrote: I have turned my head too quickly and had a charlie horse in those muscles. Also, stretching my legs often causes charlie horses. I do better stretching when my feet are at a 90 degree angle to my leg. I have found lately that looking down, like when sewing or reading is causing severe muscle spasms in those long muscles that run from your neck on down your back. That is some of the most painful times I have.
Guest guest
I have the same problem with my neck and shoulders I cannot look up or down for very long before I cannot stand it. I lucked up and found a lap desk for my laptop and when I sit in my recliner then I can lean back and my laptop is at chest level instead of lap level. Guest guest
Hi Friends. Happy Sunday! I too have difficulty getting going in the am and I wanted to share my thoughts with you all, if I may. You might make sure that you're getting enough potassium and magnesium in your diet as these nutrients can really help you combat the muscle cramps and other muscle pain. Bananas are a good choice as well as chicken. You need to keep hydrated as well. That's very important. Yoga, although really tough at first, really really helped me once I worked thru the initial pain. It's the old " no pain - no gain " adage. But if you can tough it out for two weeks or so it is really worth it. But don't do it every day. At first I would only do it every third day. What also really struck me is that my sleeping hours were the longest I went between medication doses and I found that if I took one in the middle of the night I would awake in much less pain. At the end of the day it rests on each of us alone to figure out what works best for us as no doctor has that magic wand that we all seek. I hope that my experiences help someone out there. We " painers " have to stick together, because " we " are the only ones that truly understand what each of us goes through. Thank God for us!
