Guest guest
Lynn, you are so correct, this is not so good news at all. I pray this will be the last time you will ever get this horrible news and that you will be free of cancer. Have you had your Vitamin D tested in your blood? It is proven that if you keep your Vitamin D levels high in the blood your risk of cancers is greatly reduced. Most of us have a low level. I had thyroid cancer and am hoping new tests will show there is no thyroid cancer left in my body after having my thyroid and thymus removed. I have been treated with high doses of Vitamin D and am on a maintenance dose of Vitamin D3 daily. May your Holidays be full of Love and Light. Guest guest
You will be in our thoughts and prayers!! Thanks for sharing what's going on. Please keep us posted Carol Lynn Not sure about treatments yet, and will possibly have to have a stent in for a while as the tumor is where the ureter goes from the kidney into the bladder. Please pray I will not have to have it left in as last time, it caused a lot of severe pain.

Guest guest
Hi Jennette, I am sorry to hear that you had to go through having thyroid cancer, also. I have Graves disease and had to have the radioactive iodine treatment. That seemed to do the trick and all my levels are good now. Vitamin levels, blood levels, etc. Unfortunately, bladder cancer is known as one of the peskiest of cancers. It is even known to come back after being in remission for 10 years!! It changes the environment of the inside of the bladder and makes it more susceptible for it growing there. I had immuological treatments to fight it that had finally put me in remission for 4 years. They put TB bacteria and interfuron directly into the bladder and it causes the white blood cells to flood to the area to try to fight off ' the treatment'. Thank you so much for your prayers! Its the best thing you could do for me! Lynn

Lynn, I am so sorry you have to go through this, but remember that positive mind set can help. Read all the Bernie Segal you can. Also, I ran across Cancer Centers of America website, and they have representatives IM that answer questions. I was really impressed at their facilities and answers. Since I am no longer in the cancer field, I was wanted to know of current protocol. I hope your pain lessens after the removal of the surgery and it is contained and removed.
