(or anyone) - re: Advair & thrush

I keep hearing about ppl who use Advair & get "thrush" - can someone tell me exactly what this is? Obviously i haven't had any problems with it (knock on wood) - but would like to know what it is in the case it happens to me.

re: gargling - , would this prevent it from reaching the vocal chords as it did w/ Kathleen?

Kathleen,I'm sorry to hear of everything that is going on but maybe I can shed a bit of light and hopefully help you through a few things.First the thrush from your inhaler is preventable. After you use your inhaler gargle with water, this will prevent the thrush. I'm surprised that your doctor hasn't told you that. Yes it's that easy.Second, I have not personally gone through the tests that you are going through for your heart. From my understanding there are different ways to actually fix holes in the heart,
