Im still going through a rough time, the doctors cant find the source of my pain on my upper right quadrant..sounds like gallbladder..but the tests dont show a thing. ive been taking pain pills, darvocet doesnt work, and ive lost 50 pounds in 4 months, 12 in 1 week, and they are telling me its in my head. so, we just have to find new doctors to get second opinions...

Dear ~ Geeze ... did you sue the doctor who told you the abdominal pain was just teenage angst? What happened to you was serious, and it makes me mad as a hornet that Bush has been trying to do this tort reform, which really would just proctect the Big Medical Business Interest and hurt people like you who doctors really have harmed. I'm really glad that at 13, you had the wherewithall to know you were NOT "crazy."

With the pain in your upper right quadrant, you may want to consider seeing a gastroenterologist. This type of doctor could also very possibly help you with any IBS symptoms you may be having. Even if they are not as severe as the fibromyalgia symptoms, when you add up the whole package of symptoms, it becomes almost unbearable. If the darvocet doesn't work there are other options, and perhaps one of the second opinion docs you might consider seeing would be a pain management specialist. Please forgive me if I am repeating anything I have already said to you.

You are very brave to be dealing with all of this and to be standing up for what you know. You know your own body and the symptoms you are having. Please let us know what happens and know we are here to listen and give you as much support as you need. Hugs ~
