Guest guest
, If you can maybe call them and ask when it will be in. Maybe letting them know that you guys are approaching 2wks from the casting. At 8months her growth isn't that rapid anymore so the fit isn't as urgent as it would be given an earlier age, but still important. 2wks is kind of the limit. My daughter was also 5wks premature and is a bit on the slow side as far as development goes. She didn't roll till about 8months and only if she absolutely had to. Tummytime is very important. Try to have Jennicah on her tummy for a few seconds and pick her up before she gets mad. Do this as many times as you can a day so she will have a postive tummy experience. Then slowly up the time on her belly. She will soon figure out that playing while on tummy is much easier. Also here is the site from the torticollis support group. They are great as well. Helped me through Willow's torticollis which resolved after about 8months of pt and ot. Torticolliskids I'm looking forward to hearing about Jennicah's progress once her band comes in. Let us know how the fitting goes, and def stick around there a bit longer to make sure you get a good fit. Sounds to me as if you are on the road to a rounder noggin for your grand baby plus a resolved torticollis. You are doing all the right things for her. Sandy Willow's Mom Germany > Hi sandy, thanks for responding. Jennicah will be 8 months old on July 16th. > She was 5 weeks premature. I am curious to know more about tort. She does > not roll over from her back to tummy, but has rolled a few times from tummy > to back. Usually on her tummy she just gets mad. I hope the helmet comes in > this week. She was casted on the 25th of June.
