Thought I'd report in the 7 day post myo, to go along with the other

report sent in by ...this way folks can see what happens at

varying stages!

Won't get into the fiasco on nursing care at the hospital, but will

skip to recuperation: pain-wise, I'm holding my own on one

Tylenol/codeine + 1 ibuprofen every four hours, and just 2 tylenol

PMs to sleep. I'm getting around much better already, but at first

was having a hard time breathing and my lungs felt very heavy. This

is getting better - as is the ripping pain sensation in the scar --

every day.

Three fibroids were removed, one large two small/mediums...didn't

getthe dimensions yet, but will know details when the path reports

come back.

Have started eating a bit in the last day or two, but my abdomen is

starting to bloat, so it tends to be a little uncomfortable getting a

full feeling after only a few bites. Would love to know how the

bowels come back over time, and when to expect the bloating to go

away, and bowel function to return? Especially from those who did

the bowel prep prior to surgery?? What can be done to expedite?!

Lastly, how hellacious is it when the function finally does

return...gruesomely painful??

My abdomen has become this huge 'ball' that hangs over a perfectly

flat pelvic area, delineated by the scar...very weird!

Look forward to hearing from others!

R.
