You made me tired. Our meal is simple. Turkey was baked a few days ago and we

have already froze some and made some stew. Slices are heating in the oven now.

Baking a raspberry pie. Cooking taters to mash. Green beans are simmering and

I am making box stuffing and quick dinner rolls.

It is just my husband, oldest daughter and I. Not much different than an every

day meal really, but it seems special cause it does make us all stop and realize

what we have to be thankful for.

Wow that sounds good!!!! That's my kind of cooking!!! I hope you have some

cherished time with your father. I went through losing mine Dec 16th, 2000. He

was the one who was big on holidays and no matter where we lived we always made

it home for the holiday. He was an excellent cook, that is where I get it.

Times I miss so much now. Savor every moment.

Yes indeed! Savor those times with family. You never know when a cherished loved

one may be gone! I also lost my Dad in 2000. He just dropped dead of a heart

attack in the garage. I miss him so very much, especially during the holidays

which he loved!

Hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving. Smile.

Hugs,

Carol

My dad was a chain smoker, a diabetic, and had his heart do its own bypass and

then he had this neck surgery that they only gave him a 50% chance of living up

to three months afterward and he died almost three months later. His heart

literally exploded. He was at home too and had even been to the emergency room

that morning.

Holidays definitely hurt the worse, especially if it is someone that really

loved them and made you look forward to them. He was always like a kid at

Christmas time.
