Guest guest
Hi Sheryl Am I right in believing that the drug you are taking 'Allegra' is fexofenadine (generic name)? as I am on a prescription of fexofenadine (here in the UK known as 'Telfast') - and my dose is 180mg twice a day. This has been prescribed to me by a consultant, and I have been taking it for well over a year for Cold Urticaria, with quite good results. Certainly if I take less, the effect is not so good. Have you asked if you could try a higher dose? I have just asked '' (also from the UK) the same thing, as there seems to be a great reluctance for some docs. to try anyone on a higher dose. On the info leaflet that comes with the drug, it states that the normal daily dose for an adult is 180mg, but I have had no ill effects whatsoever from taking the double dose, and my consultant is not concerned about prescribing this amount. It might be worth your while discussing this with your doctor. I hope you get some relief soon, but hang on in there, something's got to work for you. Best wishes 'JayVee'
