Yes, make sure that you drink PLENTY of fluids! That helps to alleviate

water retention, and ThyroGeek......have you drank your glasses of water

yet, today? I drink lots of water,tea, juice and diet Rootbeer

This does seem to help, plenty of fluids that is!BTW, water retention(edema)

is very common in hypothyroidism.

Gossimer.. it isn't the Armour... it may be something that you're

eating...

For me... I found out that if I do complex carbs without protein my

ankles turn into foot balls.... narrow calves, huge ankles, tiny feet....

if I make sure that I eat protein with the carbs (commercial breads being

the biggest evil doer) I'm fine.... If I do homemade bread I add egg and

powdered milk to it and so it has a higher protein content and I don't

have the same problem.... is there any possibility that you have that

same 'balance sensitivity'?

I even have to have some meat/protein before having a can of pop... if I

do.. skinny ankles, if I don't... foot balls... I actually have fun

showing that to folks, it's that predictable in me...

Yes.. I've been up about an hour and done a whole mug.. my mugs are 16

ounces...

When watching fluid intake remember to count water as a 100 percent

fluid... and anything else you drink as a 2 percent fluid....

What that means is that 98 percent of the liquid that is in something

like soda or juice (and anything except water) is used to process and

filter the additives in that liquid and only 2 percent is available for

the body to use to clean and filter the body itself... So.. as far as

our bodies are concerned... water is the only thing that counts.

I learned that when I was into body building... One of the biggest

reasons that I quit drinking so much soda... I was doing a case (24 cans)

plus a day when I was driving truck... after that I went to 2 liter

bottles.. doing at least 2 a day, 3 a day on weekends... but very very

little water....

Now I have a filter pitcher with me... it's right here in the office..

with a container that I use to top it off when I fill my mug... when I

leave the house I use empty soda bottles to fill with my filtered water

to bring with me... I fit in better in public that way... and no excuses

to get a soda cause everyone else is... I have my water.....

Hi Fee,

I just finished upping to 5.5 grains in a big hurry and I know that

it wouldn't be wise to go much higher until I've been here for a few

more weeks. When I tried 6 I got light headed...like my head was

floating a few feet off center. And when I turned too fast it took a

minute for the brain to center itself...So 5.5 is where I'll be

staying for a bit.
