Guest guest
Hi, I'm a new kid on the block. 57 & counting. I have Graves. Been on synthroid for over 4 years. I switched to Armour March 10, 2004. I have been on 1 grain for 6 weeks, took the blood test, which came up on the low side of normal. So I & doc decided to increase to 1 1/2 grains which I started taking yesterday. This past week I am cold, and have a major shortness of breath when going up stairs or just walking a bit. If I bend over I get dizzy to the point of having to grab something, so I don't fall over. Has anyone had this problem when switching over or on other T-4 meds? Thanks for your help. Guest guest
Hi Jascallie, I had all the things you mention, whenever I changed my dose I had shortness of breath, dizzines on standing, also short term memory loss. It all subsided after a few weeks on the new dose. Hang in there & I'm certain it will go, it's just a matter of adjusting. Hope you're feeling well soon, Armour has been a life-saver for me, I'm on 4 grains now & was only on 75mcgs Synthroid. Fee > Hi, I'm a new kid on the block. 57 & counting. I have Graves. I was on 75 mcg of Synthroid that proved to be too much for me to handle. I was then brought down to 50 of levoxyl, which was too low. Well, I switched to Armour around the same time as the new memeber: March 9th I believe. I started at 1/4 grain and moved up to 1 1/2 grains. I thought it was weird that I still need more, but hearing what you take makes feel better about upping the meds again. That's interesting isn't it?
