Guest guest
Dear , I'm glad that you and your wife will be attending this year's conference. I'm sorry about the problem with rooms at the Grand Hyatt. I called my local contact at the Grand Hyatt here in Denver, and she is seeing what she can do for us. They had promised us the special group rate of $89 per night per room until the cutoff date of March31, so she is seeing what she can do for us to honor that. (The problem is Saturday night, where the only rooms available are $194,which is too expensive.), I will get back to you as soon as I hear from her, so please watch your e-mails. If you would like me to call you instead, please send me your phone number offline at thesafers@... I'll definitely see what we can do! Not being from the area we arelooking for any suggestions on other hotels. Polum PSC-9-11-01 P.S. Looking forward to the conference.__________________________________________________
Guest guest
, Thanks for the heads-up on the Grand Hyatt. I just called and they told me also that they are booked. They only had a room available for Friday night...not Saturday. I asked them for any other nearby accomodations and they told me the Comfort Inn was one block away () and the Marriott which is 2 blocks away (303-297- 1300), and Brown Palace which is also 2 blocks away (). I am so mad at myself for leaving this for the last minute and not getting a room at the Grand Hyatt. Prograstination never pays off. Hopefully we can get a room at one of the other locations. Guest guest
To all of you who are planning to attend the conference, but haven't called to reserve your hotel rooms yet: Please watch for my return post to when I get an answer from the Hyatt, and then call in your reservations as soon as possible. Or....it might be a good idea for you to send me a quick e-mail when you see this, so that I can tell the Hyatt how many people still need rooms. Thanks....Sorry about this glitch. Guest guest
Dear Joanne and , Please do not make other reservations yet, until I hear back from the Hyatt. I hope that I can solve this for you. Ricky Re: '05 Denver Conference ,Thanks for the heads-up on the Grand Hyatt. I just called and they told me also that they are booked. Guest guest
I am a little confused about the hotel situation. Is the problem that they have no more rooms at the special rate or is it that no rooms are available at all. I checked at Expedia.com and they had rooms available. Of course, the price was significantly higher ($169.00 if I remember correctly). I just wanted to make sure people new this in case they were changing hotels solely because the thought no rooms were available. in Clevelandjsgrieme wrote: ,Thanks for the heads-up on the Grand Hyatt. Guest guest
Dear All: The problem with the hotel rooms popped up yesterday. Unfortunately, my contact at the Grand Hyatt was out of the office yesterday and today. I've been talking to her assistant, who has not been able to get central reservations to open up more rooms at our group rate for Saturday night (which seems to be the night that they are almost full.) So, if all of you can wait one more day, I am hoping that Marta will be able to clear this all up for us when she gets back in the office tomorrow. I'll post as soon as I have an answer. I'm already working on another option...Sorry about the confusion. (Actually, this is good news in one sense. In the past two weeks, so many attendees have signed up, that we are way past the estimated number of rooms that I gave Marta two months ago...) Guest guest
Dear Ali, ,Arne(?), , and anyone else who needs a hotel room for the conference: Bad news: I've done everything possible to have more rooms available at the Grand Hyatt at our group rate, but it can't be done. Currently, the hotel is sold out for Saturday April 30 and very close to being sold out for Friday night also. Good news: I've been on the phone today, looking for another reasonably priced option in the same area. Here's what I was able to secure....I have a hold on a block of rooms at the Marriott City Center, which is only one block from the Grand Hyatt. (It is a safe area.) The group rate they offered us is $109 per room per night, which is still very reasonable for a nice hotel in downtown Denver. Tomorrow, I will sign the contract with the Marriott, and then I'll post a message online with their reservations phone number. I hope that this will work for everyone. (I guess this problem is a sign of success....Many more people have signed up for the conference than we had originally expected. Thanks to everyone for your support!) If you have any more questions, just write to me.Sorry about the complications... Ricky PSC 2003 Re: Re: '05 Denver Conference , When I called them direct they said they had no more rooms available for sat pm. I did manage to get one for fri pm though. I also had them put me on a cancelation list. Interesting that Expedia had rooms available on their site. Have you heard anything yet? Ricky said she is working on something for us so I am waiting tp hear from her.Ali-Recycle yourself -Become an Organ and Tissue DonorAli Lingerfelt-Taitalisoikias@...***** my new address and phone number are:180 Blackberry Inn Rd.Weaverville, N.C. 28787828 658-8019
