Guest guest
but can't the school find something else besides food to reward these kids? and they want to test these same kids for "fat" and put it on their report cards!! Sounds like they need a lesson taught to them before teaching our children about the "problems "of eating the wrong stuff. Off my soap box now. Guest guest
I haven't sent in my excuses. Here goes. My excuses for not exercising is I'm too tired, my knees hurt, I'm too busy. Well I need to take the advice of my principal one year and suck it up and just do it. Now if I could just convince myself of that I would be better off. LOL My excuses for not follow my food plan is I'm too stressed out and I need that chocolate cake, or the chili con queso. To counter act that stress go back to exercising and go to the dr and get refills on my "happy" pills. Which I did this last week. Be glad when they really get into my system and calm me down some. I may just have to kill my hubby soon if they don't. LOL Levona
Guest guest
Levona, Sounds like we have a few things in common. I hurt too bad to exercise is one I use constantly! Today is one. I can't stand up straight. My knee is swollen like crazy and I don't know why. I'm still coughing. I have a ton of things to do and no energy or strength to do them and I really want to do them. I think it's very easy for other people to say " suck it up and just do it " . But they aren't in our shoes! I tend to ignore them and go do even more in my self- destructive eating ways. I'm not really ignoring them if I do that though. Oh well, maybe I'll get it figured out some day. I've thought of a few other excuses to stay on (or OFF) my food plan. I don't have time to cook healthy foods. Nobody else in the family wants to eat healthy and I don't want to cook 2 different meals. Things like that. Hang in there, Levona. We're right here with you. I don't know if that helps, but we're here cheering for you! Kathleen > I haven't sent in my excuses. Here goes. My excuses for not > exercising is I'm too tired, my knees hurt, I'm too busy. Guest guest
Thanks I need all the support I can get. My family is supportive but they also cause me stress so I'm in a catch 22 situation. LOL Together we can do this. As for my family. Most of the time it is "root hog or die" in my family. I decided when I finally got serious about my weight loss that I was not going to cook 2 different meals. I also figured out that I have a real problem with portion control. So I decided that TV dinners was what I needed to do. They are portioned out and I usually have a salad with it and it keeps me on track. the rest of my family (husband and Mom) either eat TV dinners or they fix their own food. It has worked out pretty well. I do get tired of them and I also cook meals on special occasions but for the most part this is what I do. I can always tell when I eat out too much because I usually have a gain. I have to watch that because it is so easy to eat out and not have to worry about anything. Oh well this is a battle for life and I will win it. Levona Re: challenge Levona,Sounds like we have a few things in common. I hurt too bad to exercise is one I use constantly! Today is one.
