Guest guest
Just a thought...have you had your Ferritin levels checked...iron deficiency could be stoppping the Armour form doing its job.... Hb alone isn't enough. if you have just given birth your iron levels may well be low and that will give " hypo " symptoms... Hope you feel much better soon.. Guest guest
Hi, So sorry you are feeling bad. I can empathize! It's so depressing when you can't function and do simple tasks. I am currently trying to find my optimal dose on Armour (became severely hypo after babies, although I am certain I have had Hashi's for years). I suspect that your thyroid is REALLY pooped out from the pregnancy. Perhaps you now need more Armour than what originally made you feel well. Maybe this will need to be adjusted back down once your hormones start to level out. I will say that my hair did not start falling out, and I did not have acne, severe fatigue, body aches, swollen tongue, carpel tunnel etc.... until my daughter was approx. 12 months old. I had several other symptoms including some of the above that waxed and waned over the years, but never as bad as most recently. Have you been checking your heart rate, basal temps, and blood pressure to see if your armour dosage is doing the trick? Good luck to you!!! > > I posted awhile back about nursing. Guest guest
--- Thank you for your reply. If my ferratin levels are low, what do you typically take for that?? Guest guest
---Also, what is Hb?? During pregnancy the thyroid works overtime and some women go hyper -so the amount of synthetic hormone plus a ramped up thyroid would have been fine. However, now that you are 4 months post partum, your thyroid will have gone back to pre pregnancy rates of production and it probably means that you just need more armour as your body needs more hormone than it can make or is supplied by your present dose. I'd also find out if you are anaemic - [iron deficiency ] -- Best regards, Alison http://www.alisonashwell.com mailto:alison.ashwell@... new work uploaded http://www.artwanted.com/alisonashwell http://www.voodoochilli.net/artists/alisonashwell/

Guest guest
Hi, For me, I take a product over the counter called Slow FE. It's a bit more expensive than some other brands, however I know that it kept my iron up during my massive female problems. It is gentle on the stomach and most of it is absorbed by the body. From my limited information, if your body has enough Iron it will throw off what it considers as extra, however I try to dose within reasonable limits established by the manufacturers recommendation. Unless, now here is the kicker, I were to test for low Ferritin. Then that throws a curve into my theory of treatment. Gossimer
Guest guest
Hi, Congradulations on the birth of your babies!!! both the 10yr old as well as the baby! I've got a whole host of questions here... Are you taking any multi vitimins? Are you taking any extra Iron? Any extra Vit B complex? Any extra Vit C (ascorbic acid version)? Any Essential Oil Capsules Are you taking anything to support your Adrenal glands? How and what are you eating? Did you jump from Synthroid to 3 grains of Armour directly or did you do a slow increase onto Armour, starting at maybe 1 grain of Armour and then every three weeks increased 1/2 a grain up to 3 grains? Okay, the question that will be asked by a lot of us: How long have you been on Armour? When was the last lab blood workup done? Could you post your lab results so that we could take a gander at your levels of Free T3, Free T4 and any other test results that were included in the lab testing...If you have them we could also use the ranges of each of these tests. With the ranges of the lab tests for each of the tests, we are able to see how your blood workup stacks up against the labs tests. Well thats a start, I'm sure that others will have other questions as well as we throw in our two bits of help. Gossimer > Hi All, > > I posted awhile back about nursing.
