Ralph,

That's wonderful news about . You and your family must be so very

relieved! We'll all keep her in our thoughts and send best wishes for her

continued improvement. Annette

Hi ,

Thanks for asking, and remembering! is doing fantastic. Her

strength is 100% and her rash has never looked better. We had a scare

earlier in the summer with a sunburn, but it turned out okay. She's

on only low doses of Prednisone (3mg/day) and MTX (10mg/week), and at

the rate we're going (very gradually and conservatively), she should

be off of everything in about 6 months!

Take care,

Ralph

It looks like we will not be going this year :-( It would mean

that would have to miss at least a couple of days of school,

which we'd rather not have to do. Also, vacation time and

monetary considerations are against us this year. I am thinking

about going alone, as I did 2 years ago, but it seems unlikely.

With Dr. Pachman being there, it would be wonderful to go!

I hope someone that does go takes good notes and publishes them

somewhere. If you (or anyone else listening!) go, and take notes,

I would be pleased to publish them on the Diary under your byline.

Speaking of the Diary, if you haven't checked it out lately, go

to the entry for this past Saturday (8/18/01). A special guest

author wrote most of the entry for that day. You won't want to

miss it!
