Guest guest
i am sorry to hear that your dad died so young. that is a very hard thing to go through. but as far as your goals it sounds like you are ready and you will do this and definitely keep trying. you will make it. the first part of the weight is sometimes the easiest the rest will come. i had realized i gained weight when i went to try on some summer clothes because i get really hot when i clean. and the shorts didn't fit. they fit again but i want to get smaller ones this year. > hi. at 19 after my dad passed away i gained from like 190 all the way > up to like 255 in just 3 months and i didnt even know i had gained > weight until i went to go try on clothes for school. i didnt lose the > weight until i was about 24 or 25 and that was in 2001. so right now > i am the smallest i have ever been. i was a size 26 and now i am at > 16. i want to try to get to be at 150 or 160 but i am losing so > slowly now as compared before. right now i am at 187. i did get at > 178 but i gained it back. that is great that you lost 80 pounds also. > it has been so hard. i just feel like a failure cause i havent been > able to lose the rest of my weight and plus i havent finished school. > i am going to try to do that though. all we can do is keep trying. > also it seems like when i lost it before i was more determined than i > am now. we just have to keep trying and stay positive. talk to u later > good luck with your weight loss > tammy > > > > > ]
Guest guest
Tammy, You might have only done part of what you planned but you did do it! Be proud of yourself! I learned that life happens and you just have to go with it and do what you can. Don't sweat the stuff that didn't go as planned, just make new goals and do the best you can!!! As for the skin, it takes time. You did lose the weight rather fast but you are young and your skin is sure to have more elasticity than my almost 38 yr old one! Somethings that I know help are lots of water, antioxidants and keep your skin well moisturized. I use an eye cream that seems to help. It's the Walmart store brand Equate eye firming cream. Oh also, I know I keep mentioning it in regards to lots of things but Pycnogenol and MSM are very good supps for the whole body, inside and out. Guest guest
--hi gena, thanks for writing back. i guess i am just kind of disappointed that i wasnt able to follow through with some of the things i wanted to do. but the bright side is that it isnt too late to do those things. i can still lose the rest of my weight and go back to school and finish. i just need to refocus and start getting with the program. thanks for hearing me vent. i just sometimes feel like i am not doing anything with my life that i wanted. but i think i will go back and try it again. and hopefully when i do it will work out. i will look for the eye cream too thanks. good luck with your goals too talk to u later tammy - In weightlossbuddies2 , Gena Grunwald <auroragg@m...> wrote: > Tammy, > You might have only done part of what you planned but you did do it! Guest guest
---hi george, thanks you are right. it is so much easier to look at what is wrong and the unpositive things than the positive things. thanks for your support. i havent been doing too well with the eating and exercise right now but i am going to try to do better. that is all we can do is try. talk to u later tammy In weightlossbuddies2 , " <korbet13@y...> " <korbet13@y...> wrote: > Well said, Gena. > > Life happens... and give yourself credit the good stuff you did. > > Then smack yourself and jump back onto the the way you want to do > things. > > It's SOOOO easy to focus on our failures and not our successes. > We're used to looking at ourselves as weak... but everytime you do > something good, take some credit. Guest guest
Tammy, You sound soo much like my hubby! At 22 he was upset because he didn't have a house and couple kids! LOL The thing I have told him and am going to tell you, STOP worrying about what isn't! Just do what you can. Go with the flow. Plans change, it's OK!!! Just have fun, do the best you can, be happy! You are getting refocused and stuff now, that's what counts. Now I'm ordering you, stop being soo serious. Go do something silly and have fun! Hugs, Gena On Thursday, January 23, 2003, at 10:47 PM, krypto_babe wrote:
