Guest guest
, The newer Cochlear Implants do not have the magnet, but since I received mine in 1992, the magnet is there. R

Guest guest
- Thanks for the interpretation. You are better than my medical staff who I PAY to talk to me! The free stuff is more comprehendable! I do have an ABI without a magnet. I think it was who said they are making the newer ones without the magnets. Ya, my doctor did say if I would have had a magnet simple operation to remove it temporarily. Have the MRI than place the magnet again. 20 minute procedure. So have to add another 40 minutes on to your MRI appointment. I am not too fond of them dinking with my head! or anyplace else! But thanks a lot for your words. It is good to know you would have another ABI. That helps me a lot. Jane
