I

am so pissed of at one of the biggest hospitals in Toronto. I have been

for one appointment about 3 months ago and at the time they made an appointment

for Friday Sept 26. They made it 2 appointment - one for an eye test and

then I was to see the doctor.

I

took the day off for this appointment because it was downtown and I had to

travel there by subway.

I

knew something was wrong when they didn't have my eye appointment listed in

their system and then I over heard that the doctor I was supposed to see has

never worked a Friday.

The

eye clinic did the test anyway because I had written proof of an appointment.

When

it came to the actual appointment with the doctor, I went to his office and

waited in line and then handed the form I had. I told the secretary I was

to see the specialist and she looked at me and asked if I had had a call from

the office to confirm that I was coming in for the appointment.

I

don't now about you, but if I have a form with 2 times on listing 2

appointments, I generally don't wait for a call from the hospital saying that I

have the appointment, I know I do.

I

have already taken 1 day off work for this appointment. Now I have to take

another day off to actually go to it.

Is

this all worth it?????

I

wonder!

This is the age of irresponsibility. It's really quite fascinating. You see, you are expected to shuffle your life around to suit others. Don't be a minute late, or they'll count it as an hour. Don't be on time either, or you'll have to wait 45 minutes. And, by all means sit by that phone and wait for a call that may or may not come.

Ridiculous, right? Well, the is the way so-called professional practices do business these days. You can avoid this by making sure you pay someone good money so you can do their job for them.

Of course, I'm being sarcastic. I know how you feel. It is terrible when people are treated as though they are of no importance. I'm sorry you had to go through this. It's wrong. I hope you don't ever have to go through this again.

Love and blessings...
