Not much you can do until he adjusts his own body temp. It takes

the body a little time to compensate. Other then keeping him indoors

as much as possible, the only thing different I would do is wipe down

the band with alcohol each time you wipe his head. Just a light

application so it dries quickly. That will keep the stink down to a

minimum.

Hi

Try to hang in there! Hopefully his body will adjust soon. Dress as

lightly as you can to keep him comfy. Wipe his head down as much as

you can and clean the band with the highest % alcohol (91%

isopropyl). Take care, you are doing great!

Hi there

I think babies really differ with this- some seem to adjust quickly,

others don't. My daughter Lucia is a real Sweaty Betty- just like

her father too and it has been a bit of a challenge to keep her cool

and comfortable. My strategy has been: air con (I bought a portable

unit, the cheapest around, but we live in the UK, so is it hot for

only a limited time); really airy clothes, only thin cotton so

perhaps shorts and a thin shirt, or just an all-in-one (I think it

is called a onesie in the States), even a thick teeshirt can be a

bit hot on a sweaty baby; take the helmet at the first sign of

trouble it is feels a bit hot (much better than waiting and then

having it off for a day or so); not doing really active things with

it on to start with- time in the door bouncer was limited to when

the helmet was off.

If it is any confort, Lucia has not adjusted pretty well and can

tolerate the sweating, but the first month/6 weeks was quite hard

going in terms of constant monitoring.

Hope this helps
