How to Deal with a Stalker

March 24, 2010

Stalking is a pattern of behavior with a variety of forms. It can be an

effort to have contact after the loss of a love or other close relationship,

such as a former friend, co-worker, neighbor, therapist or lawyer. It can be

a fantasy relationship with anyone, especially one perceived to have beauty,

status or power. It can be an effort to exert control over another person,

known or unknown. Stalking can be done in modern times with repeated phone

calls, internet snooping, ordering goods online and sending them, spying

with video cameras and property damage.

Who does this? Why do they do this? When is this dangerous? And how should

you respond? These will be questions addressed in our next Teleseminar on

March 24th.

Bill Eddy, LCSW, Esq., will deliver an engaging discussion about stalking

and answer questions we have received from both professionals who deal with

clients who are being stalked and by others who believe they are being

stalked. Bill will answer your questions " live " during the last 20 minutes.
