Guest guest
A technical question for everyone - I read that when mast cells degranulate in response to an allergic reaction - one of the chemicals released in addition to histamine is serotonin. Does anyone know what role serotonin plays in the process? What is the effect of having too much or not enough serotonin in the body? What about the role of prostaglandins in mast cell degranulation? I am trying desperately to find answers to this urticaria puzzle and so right now I am playing pathologist. I am reading through every piece of information I can regarding anything and everything to do with urticaria and the allergic or non allergic response. I will not accept that there is no known cause. -Sheryl __________________________________________________
