, I'm pretty sure you can buy home tests for metals. You can also buy the kits at home depot and drop them in the mail to be tested (but I' not sure I'd trust that because the companies that do the testing have products and services they want to sell you.) You might even be able to get your local university to test it as well. It is doubtful that it is high iron, if it was, your water would be orange. I went through it - we had to have a new well dug. Ironically enough, this happened while I was pregnant, and I actually tested low for iron and had to supplement. Go figure. Iron, just like anything else is good (and necessary) in the right amount. Too much or too little is not healthy.-TammyTo: mb12 valtrex Sent: Fri, August 6, 2010 6:06:58 PMSubject: son puts hands in his mouth durring bath time

I was wondering if anyone could help me with this. We have well water and I think there might be metals in the water and wondering if that has anything to do with my son putting his hands in his mouth, during bath time. (it's almost as if he is sucking on his hands) He does not do this all the time, just during bath time. If you think it might be the metals in our well water. ( if that's possible, I don't know) How do I get rid of them? Is it iron? Also is iron good or bad? I'm a little confused. Any thoughts on this would be very helpful. Thank You, (He does this whether I use Epsom salt or not)
