I looked at her poor pictures, that is one heckuva bad red spot on her cheek from the sideburns? ARGH. I am just so mad for you . What the heck will it take for those people to SEE the band fit is NOT ok and you are in desperate need of an entire new casting & band (at no cost!)??????????????????? Sometimes people like that receptionist just plain suck! You sound sooooo nice & have been soooo patient with them, working to get things right. Have you considered contacting Orthomerica to tell them what's going on? I'd try that if I was you, perhaps they could light a fire under your orthotist's office behind?? They must be out of their minds to say that this helmet is a good fit. Poor baby. And this after only 1hr. I hope you can get ahold of someone at Orthomerica to take care of things. That's what we're here for! I would strongly urge you to take Debbie's advice. Those red marks should not be like that! Definitely include pictures with your email. They need to be recasting and getting her a new band. Have you talked to your ins about covering the DOCband simply b/c you're having such a hard time where you're going now? Maybe if they gave you a refund for the STARband your ins would be willing to cover the DOC. Please let us know what happens.
