Guest guest
Hi Barb, Welcome to the group!! I'm not great at judging photos, so the best advice I can offer is to have an evaluation done. I know that Cranial Teachnolgies offers free evaluations. You can visit their web site to find the nearest location to you. Guest guest
Hi Barb, Welcome to the group! Your son is a doll. I think is plagio is moderate and I think he'd benefit from a band. You don't have anything to lose by banding him. In the photos section in the before and after folder (Docband folder) there is a pic of a 19.5 month old that received awesome correction from his DOCband. Time is not on your side, if you're going to band it HAS to be now. Do you have any treatment options in your area? > Hi All-- > > I am new to the group and posted a message earlier today. Guest guest
Hello Barb Welcome to the group. I'm glad you found us. I took a peak at JDW's pics, and he is absolutely precious. I can see slight facial asymetry, but I'm not sure I would have noticed it if I hadn't known what to look for. As for the plagio, I do think he is more than just a wee bit mild. I would maybe even consider it to be moderate. My daughter Willow was in a local band here in Germany at 6 months and received good correction. I do believe her band was passive. That said I don't want to market any type of product, but at your son's age I would go for the DOC band. It is active and CT will not guide you wrong. If you can get him evaluated there and see what they say. They are the only ones that band babies till they are 24months old. A STARband would still be ok too though b/c it goes to 18months. I'm not sure if that is beginning of tx or end so you would have to get in touch with the orthos Chrisie listed for you. Time is def not on your side so either way you go you should make your decision fast. We will support you either way. Again glad you found us.
