Hi Dave, Sorry you have shingles but at least you got the medication in time

to help prevent the long residual effects. You said the doc. also told you

to use Zinc Oxide if the blisters come. Zinc oxide is good for drying. At

one time they made a compound called Calamox. It was a combination of zinc

oxide and Benadryl solution. It was great for poison ivy /took out the itch

and helped dry it up. If you start to get the blisters call your doctor and

ask for an Rx of Acyclovir cream so you can apply it under the zinc oxide to

kill the virus on the skin. I don't mean to overstep your MD. but sometimes

they need a little help. Fondly,
