My OB-GYN didn't recommend MRIs either and was instantly wanting to

do a hysterectomy based on an ultrasound that I felt really didn't show much

according to the report.

I went to another OB-GYN who is supportive of UAE and she referred me to

an Interventional Radiologist.....and he was the one who wanted and ordered the

MRI.

My MRI showed so much more than they could tell from the ultrasound.

My first OB-GYN started singing a different tune after he saw the MRI results

and no longer wanted to do a complete hysterectomy, taking out the ovaries and

everything. He said that the MRI really showed so much more information in

my case. He still wanted to do a partial hysterectomy but I refused and am

pursuing UAE.

So...you might want to go through an IR to get your MRI. I felt it was really

worth it for the information that it gave.

opinion.
