Guest guest Posted May 16, 2002 Report Share Posted May 16, 2002 Dear All Just wanted to let you know that I'm doing beautifully after my myo (laparotomy) 6 weeks ago. I saw the surgeon for my check-up today and was able to report that everything is back to normal. I have minimal pain now - it reduced daily following the surgery. I am able to swim/cycle/do all housework ... and will return to work on Monday. I have been advised to not try to conceive for a couple of cycles (to make sure everything is OK) - the incisions did not enter the uterine cavity. The largest fibroid removed was 0.5kg and the pathology report was OK. I still have a few small fibroids in the posterior uterus - hopefully they'll stay small and insignificant. I will certainly let this group know if I ever get pregnant and how it all goes. Thanks for all your support and information. I'm happy to help anyone with questions relating to my experiences.
