Rosemary that is AWESOME! My good lord that is a huge tumor! I'm just coming

back from Hiatas remember so I don't know you or your family well...this is your

8 year old son Louis correct? What kind of treatment did you decide for him?

Gosh that is great news I'm so happy for him (and of course you too :o)

, I do praise God (or G-d ) for these results and do indeed feel

blessed. Those last 4 hours seemed like another test of faith. Of course,

the first post-op mri is not the one they usually expect to see such quick

regrowth , but given they were such fast-growing tumours, with very high

mitotic figures, brain invasion etc. it was definitely a possibility.

Regardless, radiologists and Neuro were thrilled at the " remarkable " brain

recovery. Now I'm thinking, was that diet or lipid therapy, or just

Louis????????

I would like to thank all for their prayers. And Rhonda, I hope our hook-up

brings such fine news to you on the19th. I'm sorry to have heard that

Jennette's surgery got postponed, I believe it was scheduled for same date

too originally.

Rosemary,

What wonderful news! Only another Mother can know the emotion you must have.

This little 7-year old must be one toughy. If he is at all like his mom, I

am sure of it. Congratulations to all of you. Vicki

Rosemary,

Such wonderful news for Louis!!! Congratulations to you!! Inspiring for

us all.........

's MRI's took an hour and a half. He hated the IV last time so they

did the butterfly needle this time and he said he'd rather have the IV!!!

Other than that, we have to wait until next week. I am clinging to the Word

in ians 4:6, " Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by

prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God " and

praying constantly and thanking God for the good results to come.

Take a break! You deserve one!

Hugs,

Rhonda

Rosemary,

Great news on Louis' MRI results. We like good news. Nick's next MRI is in

June. Two months reprieve here. Enjoy your reprieve. :-)

Hi Misha, no we have not been formally introduced........

Louis' treatment has just been a very good surgeon to excise the tumours and

an extremely healthy diet. Also, I have had a lipid analysis done on his

blood which showed a problem with this metabolism of fatty acids. He has

been on a nutritional therapy to help restore balance.

Lipids constitute 60% of cells and they play an important role in cell

membrane interaction. So I wondered if the effects of having dysfunctional

merlin would be revealed in a lipid analysis, with the view that whilst you

are not changing the mutation, possibly you can work on restoring the

balance that the mutation has upset.

These results are being looked at further , and I will keep you all

informed. In fact tests are being repeated. This time they are going off to

US, and if this looks promising, I will be jumping on the board here and

telling you all to have this expensive blood test.

It is important to remember this kind of approach will never be a cure, just

a non-toxic way of mitigating disease severity.

relieved you must be. Now as you said, you can now go hassle those

Biotechs. Good luck.
