Here's a recipe I forgot the origins but I changed it and everyone appears to

enjoy this. Nondiabetics as well as us glucosed impaired

Sweet roasted nuts :

Low Carb & Sugar free

High in omega-6 acids

High calorie - be warned.

Pound of unsalted nuts - Pecans - walnuts - almonds.

Some sugar free maple syrup such as Vermot. 4 carbs per 1/4 cup.

Coat the nuts with this and other seasonings or essences that you may like or

have. I add some butter pecan essence from pleasantville cookie company.

Roast in a slow oven. Around 275 until the syrup is dried out and the nuts are

toasty. Store in containers. Really is sweet without guilt. And an ounce or

so has lots of protein and other nutrients .
