Guest guest
Hi I posted this on another group too...desperately seeking advice..sorry if you see it as a repeat... My son has made some excellent progress in the past couple of months...speaking much more, interacting with us better and with people in general. His stimming has decreased and he is generally much happier and frequently says so! But at times when irritated, annoyed or something is not going his way he lashes out with punches, bites or smacks..usually at me. Occasionally at others in the family but primarily at me. We have tried a number of different ways to deal with this but it is still happening..it feels like although he is making greatgains...nothing is improving in this area! Any suggestions would be appreciated..i am a little at my wits end...i think people must think i have a cat with all the scratches on my arms and i can only wonder what they think about the bruises. Thanks Heath
Guest guest
What iss your son taking? He needs to be on a strong anti fungal like diflucan. If he is on valtrex you may want to consider switching to famvir for while (year or so ) and then going back to the valtrex. Imunovir may also help boost his immune system to fight the viral die off. Guest guest
Well, at this point it could just be a nasty habit left over form "old days". Especially if it's directed primarily at you and he's otherwise able to control himself. I find with my son even as he progresses, certain behaviors don't disappear over night. It could be a food or supp intolerance, as well. Does your family do the gfcf diet? Try to journal when the hitting goes on. Think of his meals, snacks....what was he doing? Was he feeling ok? Running a temp...etc.etc.To: mb12 valtrex Sent: Sat, August 28, 2010 8:58:49 AMSubject: Aggression Hi I posted this on another group too...desperately seeking advice..sorry if you see it as a repeat...
